Laura Cushing is the mother of two girls, both DHUMP alumni and has been teaching at DHUMP since 1996. Laura enjoys teaching both in the classroom and as the Tumbling (movement) enrichment teacher where she gets to know all the children. |

David Epstein came to DHUMP as a preschool parent in 2000. He graduated from Lehigh University in 1993 with a degree in Finance. He worked for Lehman Brothers in NYC from 1993-95 then ran his own fund-raising company 1995-03. He is well known in the Candler Park area as a tennis teacher for adults and children. David loves working with children and teaches Tumbling (movement) enrichment classes. |

A native Atlantan, Shannon Goines has made Lake Claire her home since November 2003. She came to DHUMP as a parent in January of 2004. She is a visual artist and a musician. Shannon plays the mandolin and sings. She is a fabulous Music enrichment teacher. |

Les Scott became DHUMP’s music teacher in 2000 and is the Minister of Music at Druid Hills United Methodist Church. Les can be seen playing his guitar in the Discovery rooms or organizing a square dance for the PreK students in the enrichment classroom. |

Dewayne Heater has served as a minister of music at several churches in the Atlanta area and has worked as a preschool teacher at DHUMP since 2002. Dewayne fills many shoes at DHUMP. He is a piano player and works with Mr. Les in music enrichment. He is a resource teacher who works frequently in the Discovery classrooms and he substitutes as needed throughout the preschool program. |
